Message Project

Origin Story

In early 2025, I posted a question on Instagram, asking people what message they would like to share with the world. Grateful for the lovely messages that were shared, I began stitching them onto a repurposed white shirt, but quickly found the weave too dense to stitch through comfortably, and also felt it looked too chaotic.

After switching to this piece of vintage German bed linen, my hands instantly relaxed, and I knew I had found the right space for these messages to rest and breathe.

Less than a year later, the messages I have received have outgrown my cloth.

And I’ve added a second panel with plenty of space for all of the messages still to be stitched. You can still add your anonymous message here.

Thank you for sharing your powerful words with me.
